Job Title: Software Support Technician – Sage (Remote or Office Based)

Salary: £22,000 – £28,000 DOE

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire HU7 0AE UK

Job Role: Full time / permanent

We are a leading regional IT Solutions Provider and Sage Accredited Business Partner based in Hull. Due to expansion, we are looking for a Sage software support engineer to join our growing Sage Team, providing support and guidance for our client base.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Provide user support to customer base on Sage/Other software applications (Sage 200, Sage CRM, Sage 50 and Cim) on a 1st/2nd line level.
  • Monitor and action our ticketing system to ensure all tickets are dealt with in line with our SLAs
  • Take incoming support calls from clients
  • Provide our customers with a credible solution in a timely fashion
  • Manage a wide and diverse variety of tickets which you will be responsible for

Experience/Requirements (Essential)

  • Knowledge/experience of accounting
  • Knowledge/experience of Sage systems (Sage accreditations would be advantageous)
  • Experience working in a software support environment
  • Comfortable with computers and IT, including all Microsoft office software
  • Eager to learn with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Possess good organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to keep on top of and manage a large and diverse workload
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exceptional communication

About you:

The applicant must have experience working in a similar role as a support technician. It would be advantageous if you have experience at a vendor (Sage) or a Sage business partner in the past 24 months.

The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day support of our client base on a 1st/2nd line level, responding to incoming telephone queries and emails and providing a credible solution.

As is the nature of this role you may be required to be flexible at times as you may be asked to work outside normal office hours to meet the needs of customers.

Depending on experience the successful candidate does not need to be permanently based in Hull as this role can be carried out either remotely, office based or a mixture of the two. As you may be required to attend the office on occasion it would be best (but not essential) if you were based within driving distance.

New and Re-accreditation training/certification will be given to the successful candidate.
