Job Title: Stock Controller

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: £20,050 – £21,500

About the Role:

To provide administrative assistance to the Production Support Supply Chain Shop Floor function.

Key Responsibilities:

Day to Day Operations:

Administration tasks relating to receiving materials, stock control and supporting the production support supply chain functions as required.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with all company health, safety, and environment procedures
  • Receive material and goods to the ERP system ensuring traceability is maintained
  • Support in the control of system stock to ensure accuracy and avoid disruption due to material shortages
  • Support the Buyer’s by accurate reporting of material stock availability
  • Stock checking activities as and when required
  • As required by PCD produce route cards documentation and issue to the relevant source
  • Maintain the ERP system stock to avoid potential disruption through weekly stock checks
  • Maintenance of databases relevant to the specific area of work, this could include, Emax, or customised spreadsheets
  • Ensue shop floor paperwork is maintained and managed through the department
  • Raise delivery paperwork ensuring that route cards are complete as per company procedures
  • Liaising with shop floor team on the availability of material to ensure smooth flow through process and the on-time delivery of parts
  • Comply with business processes and procedures
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager or a member of the Senior Management team

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Administrative experience in a manufacturing organisation
  • Administrative experience in supply chain and stock control
  • Knowledge of ERP system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with people at all levels and across all disciplines
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to work to high levels of accuracy against tight deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Offices packages including Excel is essential
  • Good working knowledge of Emax
  • Methodical, attention to detail, organised, ability to multi-task and prioritise
