Job Title: Storeperson

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: £15 per hour

Job Type: Part Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 15 hrs per week min. Basic hrs Mon (fixed) 9.30am – 3.00pm Other days/ hours to be arranged

Holidays: 30 days inc stats, increasing with service to 33 days (pro rata)

About the role:

Due to our continued growth Oilgear Leeds is currently recruiting for a part-time Storeperson to support the Stores/ Materials Handler and to join our expanding business and be part of a dynamic and growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about what they do, has excellent organisational skills and understands the importance of their role in providing an efficient service to both internal departments and our customers.

This position is ideally suited to someone with good computer skills who has experience in a similar role. A flexible approach is a must as is the ability to work well with others. If you have enthusiasm, drive and want to be part of a team we would like to hear from you.

The site is conveniently situated approximately 1 mile from the centre with easy transport links to both the city centre and the motorway. There is free parking on-site.

Main duties will include:

  • Support the Stores/ Materials Handler
  • Manage the day to day running of goods inwards, stores and shipping
  • Manual handling of components and parts
  • Enter data and update the ERP system accordingly
  • Book goods in to correct locations and ensure components are organised & stored well
  • Identify any shortages and liaising with the planner and purchasing department
  • Run the Job Travelers for specified period and lay out stillages and bins as required
  • Picking and issuing goods from store to assembly in given timescales
  • Prepare goods for despatch including packing & shipping
  • Photograph and record data of packed items
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures

About you:

Technical / Job Specific:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • ERP system experience desirable
  • Good computer skills

Core Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work safely at all times
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Good at working to timescales

Personal Qualities:

  • You will be someone that is committed to learning new skills
