Job Title: Technical Lead

Location: Potters Bar

Salary: £40,000 – £49,999 depending on experience

Job type: Full time – Permanent, 8:30am – 5:30pm

This fast-growing IT/Telephony solutions provider based in Potters Bar is going through a period of growth and are looking for a qualified Technical Lead to fill this brand-new role within their organisation.

Their company supports clients Nationwide with Cloud based solutions. They provide multi-source managed service solutions, bringing together a portfolio of companies with a range of complimentary services, covering IT Managed Services, Cloud Solutions, Unified Communications, Mobility, Connectivity, Security and Strategic Consultancy. Typically, the Company works with engaged, energetic, culturally aware, businesses who want to use Technology to enable growth and development. They share a common ethos of partnership with clients and colleagues; passionately focusing on customers’ needs, acting responsibly and with integrity.

The Candidate

To be successful in this position you will have excellent spoken and written English, a great work ethic, an organised way of working and you should be keen to learn and keep up with emerging technologies. You will have full support and scope to build the role out with a roadmap to becoming the company CTO.

You will need to be happy to “muck-in” when the situation calls for it, with a can-do attitude, you will need to be approachable, happy to answer questions and nurture the people who need your knowledge and expertise to enable them to develop.

As Technical Lead you will be responsible for development and deployment of projects, with your main duty being to implement current and modern solutions to successful completion of projects and fulfilling the changing requirements of customers. As Technical Lead, you will also be responsible for helping to develop the team.

You will work with the CEO on the contract side, meeting with potential clients and helping to deliver the vision showcased at these meetings. You will need to be presentable and able to articulate the skillset that you will speak about.

You will report to the Customer Experience Manager (who manages the service desk too), and they will ensure you’re fully supported, and that your technical ability can be showcased.

Key Skills

  • Confident in customer facing situations & technical pre-sales
  • Confident in communicating with staff at all levels
  • Experienced in tackling issues that have been escalated and need a higher level of technical experience
  • Used to working to process & adhering to service level agreements
  • Pro-active and responsible
  • Experience with telephony including VOIP, voice segregation & QOS a benefit
  • Extensive networking experience and knowhow
  • VM Ware, DaaS and Microsoft product knowledge
  • Experienced in and passionate about cybersecurity
  • Previous experience as Technical Lead
  • Managing workflows and set up for new projects
  • Strong Security knowledge,
  • Varied deployment experience
  • knowledge of AutoTask is desirable but not essential
  • Happy to help when other areas may require your attention
