Job Title: Technical Sales Specialist

Location: Head Office, in Team Valley, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Salary: Up to £30K + Bonus

Job Type: Full time , Permanent

About the role;

As a Technical Sales Specialist you will be responsible for delivering orders in through the sale of TSG approved products and services in line with individual targets.

Operating across the sales team and with clients to ensure consistent and collective sales performance in conjunction with the Client Directors, CSM’s and technical consultants. Technical Sales Specialists will contribute to orders in GP through transactional sales and CD/CSM opportunities. Transactional sales are typically defined as those that fall into the sub £5k GP order and opportunities value.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Achievement of individual targets as defined quarterly throughout the financial year
  • Active participation within key clients and supporting Client Directors and Client Success Managers in the initial sale and follow up of quotations via transactional sales campaigns, maximising transactional sales opportunities.
  • Develop and demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of TSG Technical product portfolio
  • Proactively engage TSG clients and prospects in a consultative manner to identify and advise suitable product solutions and propositions.
  • Look for all opportunities to cross and upsell through active engagement throughout the sales cycle
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasting throughout each quarter of the financial year
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline in accordance with aggregate targets and conversion levels
  • Effective and accurate use of TSG CRM system, planning and time management
  • Proactive use of the TSG Halo portal to identify and follow up transactional sales opportunities.
  • Strict adherence to TSG’s sales process, governance and customer engagement charter
  • Possess a high degree of self-awareness and appetite for personal development and improvement
  • Actively seek coaching, input and guidance from management and colleagues

Knowledge, Skills & Experience;

  • Relevant technical or technical sales qualifications desirable
  • Min 2-years in sales-based role or appropriate direct customer facing role
  • Able to evidence consistent over-achievement and performance throughout career
  • Ability to build rapport and good working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and proactively seeks opportunities to improve sales
  • Demonstrates commitment to the role, team and company, and will go the extra mile when required
