Job Title: Technical Support Assistant / Stores Person

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Location: Downton, Salisbury

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Support Assistant/Stores Person to join the Service team at our sister company, based in Downton. They are a leading provider of high-quality medical refrigerators and freezers.

In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support to our customers across the world ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our medical refrigeration and freezing equipment. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their service enquiries, helping to resolve technical issues, specifying and despatching parts. An understanding of refrigeration systems would be advantageous, but product training will be given.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, and email
  • Handle packaging and shipping of technical items as required
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Maintain organized storage systems to facilitate efficient retrieval of items
  • Maintain a clean and orderly storage area, adhering to safety standards
  • Update customer and inventory records using relevant software or systems
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory data

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a technical support role
  • Knowledge of technical components and equipment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in using IT and Microsoft Software
  • Experience using ERP, CRM and other technical support tools and software
  • Willingness to adapt to changing inventory needs

Benefits:

Holidays: starting entitlement of 22 days plus Bank Holidays increasing each year to a maximum of 28 days plus Bank Holidays.

Sabbatical: one month paid sabbatical after 6 years.
