Job Title: Telephone Operator

Location: Dover

Salary: £20,655 per year.

Job type: 35 hours per week. Full-time, permanent. Hybrid working.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be organised and efficient, have demonstrable experience of working quickly and effectively within a pressurised environment and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients.

The Role:

We are currently looking for a Telephone Operator to join our collaborative and welcoming Clear Voice team, on a Permanent Contract.

The post holder will be required to adopt a pro-active approach towards implementing and maintaining local Clear Voice processes in line with any updated requirements. The main areas of this role will be to provide Clear Voice with the necessary administrative support under the direction of the Clear Voice Head of Operations and Senior Coordinators on a day-to-day basis and the Clear Voice Director/CEO overall.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Connecting clients’ calls to interpreters via our busy phone operator line
  • Through the consistent and high-quality delivery of service, maintain and develop the service’s values and reputation in the marketplace
  • Effectively triage emails and calls to the relevant departments
  • Respond to all stakeholders’ requests in a timely, professional, and accurate manner
  • Form and maintain positive working relationships with current clients and partners
  • Support the team with the day-to-day administrative needs of a busy service

Experience and skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of working as part of a team as well as taking the initiative to work independently ​
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and databases; particularly in making and keeping accurate and timely records
  • Ability to form good working relationships with demonstrable customer care skillsand meticulous attention to detail​
  • Have high attention to detail and ability to problem solve
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure, both individually and in a team
