Job Title: Trainee Accountant
Location: Redditch
Salary: Starting from £21.5k per year.
Job type: Full Time – Permanent. Hours of work: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (37.50hrs per week).
We are looking for someone who has a minimum 1 years’ experience of working within an accountancy practice. The ideal candidate will have started their professional exams although this is not essential as full training support will be offered to the right candidate.
We are a small practice based in Redditch who pride themselves on the high quality and personal service provided to clients. We are looking to grow the practice over the next five years and want someone with long term commitment to help achieve this.
The Role:
- Accounts preparation for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships.
- Tax computations – personal and corporate.
- Processing VAT returns, bookkeeping and management accounts.
- Assisting on audit assignments.
- Mentoring trainees.
- Supporting Directors.
- Admin and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Skills Required:
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
- Excellent Excel skills. Knowledge of Xero, FreeAgent, VT Transaction+ and TaxCalc desirable.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.

- Full training support towards ACCA/ACA qualification is offered which will include payment of study fees, revision materials and exam fees.
