The Company:

Facilities by ADF provides serviced vehicle hire for television and film productions in the UK and Europe, specialising in on-location support for dramas and major features.
We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Logistics Coordinator to join our logistics team based in Longcross, Surrey. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work under pressure, reacting quickly to customer needs.

Main Duties
As a member of the logistics team, you will be scheduling vehicles and drivers to ensure the delivery of our on-location facility vehicle service. This involves the analysis of the customer filming schedules to make a clear plan ensuring consistent high standards of delivery.
You will work alongside other members of the logistics team to plan the movement of vehicles and allocate drivers to these.

The hours of work will be 5 days per week for the probationary period, but candidates must be able to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern after this period. They will be starting on shifts at either 07:00 or 10:00, additional shifts may be required to cover holiday leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Logistics team with the scheduling a fleet of over 350 units utilising employed drivers along with agency drivers
  • Plan daily movements whilst liaising with all other departments for resource availability
  • Liaise with vehicle workshop regarding vehicle availability
  • Complete all required administration work to support the logistics team

You:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet the last-minute requirements of customers
  • Proficient IT literacy, specifically Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to in-house IT systems
  • You should hold good educational qualifications, with a positive attitude towards health and safety
  • You will have exceptional customer service skills and a strong work ethic
  • You will have the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
