The role:
The SHEQ Assistant will be supporting the SHEQ Manager for the Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality of a variety of sites, as well as the monitoring of training for the company. Previous experience in the construction industry beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Assisting on aspects of health & safety and environmental management applicable to company activities.
- Assisting with procedures for reporting, recording, investigating and analysing accidents & incidents.
- Booking training courses for all employees and attending meetings to training associations.
- Compilation & issue of toolbox talks, safety alerts, company rules and site safety packs.
- Assisting with records on Health and Safety Audits, Inspections and monitoring activities to verify compliance with, and effectiveness of, Company Health and Safety Procedures.
The candidate:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building.
- Strong IT skills.
- Experience in writing and reviewing H&S procedures.
- Must be able to drive and travel for site visits.
