Job Title: Transport Manager

About the role:

We are a Facilities Company specialising in the Film & TV industry. We are looking for a Transport Manager with an International CPC in Road Haulage qualification to join our team.

Key responsibilities:

  • To ensure full legal maintenance requirements and Operators Licence requirements regarding drivers, PMI’s, MOT and servicing for all vehicles and trailers.
  • To ensure all drivers (PAYE/Self-Employed and Agency) remain compliant as per license, driver CPC and hours and to ensure records are kept and maintained to legal and Company standards.
  • To ensure Tacho management of drivers and vehicles.
  • To ensure agency drivers, all PAYE and Self-Employed drivers arrival compliance, checking of driving licence, 3 cards, PPE, etc.
  • Direct Driver inductions and onboarding.
  • In conjunction with Operations Manager to liaise with approved agencies regarding the booking of driver resources
  • In conjunction with Operations Manager the management of all HOD on Productions, and all driver briefings and debriefings.
  • To review and provide movement orders to all drivers, ensuring they are given the safest and wherever possible, the most efficient routes.
  • The management of Driver Agencies, including initial meetings and ongoing audits.
  • The management of all ‘out of area’ Driver Agencies, including initial meetings.
  • To ensure all defects are recorded and resolved within a timely manner.
  • To ensure all vehicles/trailers are VOR if necessary and Reactivation management.
  • To ensure all vehicle and trailer folder and documentation management.
  • To ensure all drivers are using (and correctly using) TruCheck.
  • To ensure a robust system is in place for the management of missing mileage.
  • To carry out a robust procedure for driver infringement detection, and the management plan for them.
  • To maintain insurance of vehicles and trailers.
  • To carry out all accident information gathering and providing details to our Insurance Company, and internally.
  • To carry out regular compliance audits.
  • To ensure that you take the out of hours phone every three weeks (Monday 8.00am until Monday 8.00am) and carry out all out of hours duties/requests as per your role and Transport Manager qualifications.
  • To liaise with the Operations Manager to provide them with the vehicles and trailers that they require and to ensure swing vehicle availability.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Transport Manager International CPC in Road Haulage qualification.
  • Successful candidates will hold a Driving Licence
  • You must possess excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Have the desire to learn and develop your skills
  • You must have a proactive can-do attitude
