Job Title: Valuation Technician / Referencer

Location: UK / Remote

We are an independently owned Chartered Surveying practice who provide a comprehensive range of surveying and property services.

We’ve taken on new, innovative ways of working to deliver our services and we’ve created a new strategy to target key areas of growth for the business, resulting in the launch our new Utilities and Infrastructure team, our new National Valuation Team and further development for our Rural team whilst bolstering our activity in commercial, planning and development.

The Position:

We have an opening for a Valuation Technician / Referencer to assist in the delivery of providing non-domestic rating advice to our public and private sector clients.

Main duties include measuring all types of commercial and residential properties and measure in accordance with the RICS Code of Measuring Practice in order to support the delivery of our CIPFA asset valuations.

Main Responsibilities, Tasks and Key Duties:

  • Support the delivery of our CIPFA asset valuations
  • Understanding of the rating and valuation process
  • Assist qualified and support staff in undertaking their workload
  • Liaise effectively with the appointed rating and valuation surveyor
  • Preparation of research and supporting documentation
  • Manage a database of clients property information

The Candidate:

The job will require someone who has analytical, administrative and organisational skills. TechRICS experience would be beneficial and/or experience of measuring up commercial and residential property for valuations and ratings purposes.

You will form part of a dedicated specialist referencing and valuation team critical to our business success. Training will be provided, and continual monitoring undertaken.

Essential Criteria:

  • You will be required to internally and externally inspect as well as measure council and private hereditaments to support these asset valuations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a confidence to communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing.
  • The necessary confidence and personal; organisation skills to become part of a busy team in a fast-moving environment.
  • Good working knowledge of IT.
  • Driving licence.
