Job Title: Van Driver
Location: Brentwood
Salary: £24,000 to £33,000 per annum OTE
Job Type: Permanent/Full-time -Rota basis – minimum 6-hour shifts, on call 24 hours including Sat/Sunday

Role
Due to an increase in workload, we are looking for an additional Van Driver. As part of the team, you will:
- Professionally driving and operating an allocated vehicle that is assigned by the Transport department daily while ensuring an efficient and effective collection, transportation and disposal of customer waste.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report all defects which may affect the safe and efficient operation of your vehicle or equipment immediately to the office.
- Verifying that paperwork/jobs scheduled on the tablet matches the container type loaded prior to departure from site
- All Duty of Care/Waste Transfer Notes are completed promptly and accurately
- Use and maintain your vehicle and equipment in accordance with the training given.
- Ensure all loads are secure and safe and follow site safety instructions at all sites.
- Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and the Company rules including reporting any unmarked hazards, near misses or accidents and wearing the correct PPE.
Skills & Experience Required
- A full UK driving license
- ADR Class 9 highly desirable
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A very personable ‘can do’ attitude
- High levels of resilience and flexibility
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Commercially aware and takes pride in the quality and standard of their work
