Job Title: Vehicle Technician

Location: Lincoln

Salary: £29,000.00-£33,000.00 per year – DOE (OTE £35,000)

Job type: Full-time, Permanent. Overtime available.

Camper UK are one of the leading motorhome dealerships in the UK. The workshop boasts to be not only the largest facility in the industry but also the best. Every day is a different challenge as we work on many different types and sizes of motorhomes and leisure vehicles.

Camper UK is the first dealership in this industry to provide its own training school for young technicians which will see a diploma status at the end of the apprenticeship period. On the back of this, Camper UK has recently been awarded the Lincolnshire Business of the year for 2022. About the Role:

Carrying out diagnostic repairs, servicing and carrying out warranty work on motorhomes is one of the most varied, challenging and important things you can do at Camper UK. You’ll safely prepare our customers’ vehicles for the road ahead; you’ll care about every detail, and take pride in doing a meticulous job. Above all, you’ll want to be part of a capable, motivated team who feel the same way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fiat diagnostic fault finding using all the latest electronic aides
  • Servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards
  • Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment
  • Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects
  • Road testing vehicles to check repairs
  • Maintaining equipment and making sure tools are in good condition
  • Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed
  • Completing all documentation to the required standard

Essential Skills:

  • A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance and solid work experience in the automotive industry
  • The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own or part of a busy team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to carry out work to high standards to deadlines
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • The ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions
  • A full driving license

Desirable:

  • Fiat professional commercial knowledge
  • C1 Driving License (7,500kg)
