About the role:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Venue and Events Officer to join our Operations team.

Reporting to the Venue and Events Manager, you will support with the museum’s private and corporate events offer, helping with the successful delivery of events for corporate partners, sponsors, and supporters and private events, promoting Bletchley Park as a unique and exciting venue and building upon the reputation of the Trust as a venue of choice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accurately maintain event plans
  • produce risk assessments
  • collaborate effectively across the various departments to support with the smooth delivery of each corporate and private event, to a high standard and within budget.

The ideal candidate:

To be successful you will have excellent administration and organisational skills and be confident communicating at all levels. You will be a team player, able to demonstrate your ability to work to deadlines and effectively coordinate and motivate others, whilst maintaining high standards and a calm professional approach.

You will have good numeracy skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel. Previous experience of planning and coordinating event delivery would be an advantage.

This is a hands-on role, which will include some heavy lifting to facilitate the set up and effective turnaround of event spaces.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, usual hours of work are Monday to Friday between 9.00 and 17.00, you will also be required to work early evening / weekends to support with planned events, as needed.
