Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: High Post, Salisbury

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum

Job Type: Full time, permanent

Working Hours: This role is typically worked over a 4.5 day week however flexibility is required to support the needs of the business

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting into to the Supply Chain / Logistics Team and have an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse ensuring that Warehouse Operatives deliver against targets to achieve business goals. This includes receipt, storage, transactions, stock control, transfers and finished goods. You will create a ‘best in class’ warehousing function, utilising the business systems and Warehouse Team making recommendations for future improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager are (but not limited to):

  • Run an efficient warehouse operation which is able to fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets
  • Ensure the delivery of materials in accordance with production schedules
  • Train new Warehouse Operatives through the list of SoP Documents that cover all Warehouse duties
  • Ensure inventories in area of responsibility are accurate, including stock take cycles
  • Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change
  • Assist in planning future capacity requirements
  • Comply with Group policies and Business Code of Ethics.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers, customers and transport companies.
  • Remain up-to-date with the latest industry regulations and procedures and ensure that your dangerous goods shipments comply with industry standards.

About you:

  • Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain suitable level security clearance (5 years British residency)
  • IoSCM Level 2 Warehousing Operations qualification, minimum
  • Experience of supervising and leading a team within a Warehouse or Manufacturing environment, essential
  • Certification under the handling and transportation of Dangerous Goods under IATA or ADR, advantageous
  • Forklift Truck licence, desirable
  • Knowledge of lean techniques
  • Ability to wear full PPE, required for the role
  • Proficient in MS Office and other computer systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and time management
  • Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
