Job Title: Warehouse Operative Nights

Location: Watford – Unit 7a, Odhams Trading Estate, St Albans Road, Watford, WD24 7RY – You must live within 30 mins commutable distance

Salary: £25k (OTE – £26,500, £125 per month discretionary bonus based on role KPI’s)

Job Type: Full Time – 40 hours per week. 18.00pm – 03.00am, Sunday to Thursday

Main purpose of role:

To ensure that goods are moved in and out of our warehouse in accordance with operational and our customers’ needs and are correctly handled whilst within the warehouse’s care. Maintaining safe working practices whilst on site.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Warehouse Operatives and the Warehouse Manager in ensuring all goods are picked accurately and efficiently aligned to the business KPI. Maintaining all the relevant paperwork required during the shift.
  • Dealing with the receipt of, handling of, and dispatch of products into and out of our warehouse, which are dealt with correctly and in accordance with procedures.
  • To follow the correct procedures, and ensuring that safe working practices are followed and aligned to the company Health and Safety policy
  • In cooperation with Warehouse Operatives and on the instruction of the Warehouse Manager:
    • ensuring that the correct fresh and ambient products are picked for customers’ orders, correctly packed and dispatched to the customers on the correct date and that the relevant paperwork is completed and procedures followed.
    • ensuring that fresh, frozen and ambient stock received is received in a correct condition (temperature, damages etc.), is put away in the correct location, booked in correctly in accordance with procedures and is rotated correctly.
    • keeping all areas of the warehouse, fridges and freezers tidy.
    • carrying out stock counts for the stock controllers and other counts as required on an ad-hoc basis.
  • To communicate with your manager and stock controllers if there are issues and problems as soon as possible to help make the resolution of issues easier.
  • To suggest improvements to the company’s purchasing and warehousing systems as appropriate and to implement agreed changes in systems.
  • To undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competency as required by their line manager.

Full training and support will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Fork Lift Truck Licence (Desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths and English

Skills/competencies:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure
  • Courteous

Knowledge:

  • A good standard of computer literacy

Experience Required:

  • Experience of a warehouse environment

Other:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to comply with our insurance requirements
  • May have to lift heavy products and be capable of climbing in and out of the Company vehicles

Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of: Stores Manager, Warehouse Manager, Supply Chain Administrator, Dispatch Manager, Warehouse Coordinator, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Operative, Goods Inwards Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse, Process Operative, Goods Outwards Operative, Dispatch Operative, Supply Chain Operative and Warehouse Worker may also be considered for this role
