Job Title: Wells Beach Bus Manager

Location: Pinewoods Holiday Park, Wells next the Sea

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term

We have a fabulous opportunity to join our team that would ideally suit people qualified and experienced in driving buses.

Wells Beach Bus

This is a great opportunity to set up and run a fantastic new seaside bus service at Wells-Next-The-Sea. The service will launch summer 2022 and run daily to the end of October.

We have recently invested in two exciting vehicles. The Sigma 7, a new state-of-the-art fully electric bus, is the first of its kind in the UK. This bus will form the backbone of the operation. On the busiest days of the summer, the Sigma will be joined by a real classic. Our 1951 Leyland Tiger has a stunning history working across the Channel Islands, Edinburgh and a return to Jersey before we imported it last year. It is a one of a kind with its open top and optional canvas roof.

About the role:

You will be leading the team of bus drivers in operating our two fabulous buses. This is a seasonal permanent position that will start April/May 2022 and run through to November 2022. In subsequent years we expect the role to run from March to November and we very much perceive this to be a returning job role.

You will be integral in setting up the business, forming rotas, timetables, recruiting a team and planning all aspects of the operation. You are supported by the Pinewoods Management Team and report to the park’s General Manager.

About you:

We are looking for a confident leader and a great communicator that gets on well with people. You must be patient, a safe driver, reliable and calm under pressure. This role really would suit a bus enthusiast as our Tiger bus is a real gem and this presents a rare opportunity to be involved in a vehicle with a lovely back story.

You must hold a Certificate of Professional Conduct and as minimum, a category D PCV driving licence. Experience of managing people, working with customers, preferably in a tourism/leisure business combined with an ability to work independently under your own initiative are all prerequisites for the manager role.
